She graduated from Onamia High School in 1940. Jean moved to Minneapolis, MN shortly after graduation. She worked at several places doing office work as a Comptometer Operator. She worked at Gamble Skogma Home Office for thirteen years. After the death of her parents Jean moved back to the family farm. She worked at various places around the area where she met Charles Mundt. The couple were united in marriage on May 27, 1967. They made their home near Bayview on the family farm. Jean enjoyed sewing, crafts, quilting, and volunteering. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Onamia. Jean is survived by her friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; parents, Albert and Blanche (Chapman) Brandt; sister, Helen; and her step-father, Manford Highum.
