Name: Duane P. Prokott Date: August 28th, 1954 - June 14th, 2010 Obituary: Duane was born on August 28, 1954 in Little Falls, MN to Cordelia and the late Thomas Prokott. He grew up in the Bowlus area and attended school in Royalton, MN. Duane graduated from Royalton High School in 1972. After graduation Duane worked at Polar Tank in Opole, MN as a welder for 8 years as well as farmed on the family farm. Duane farmed full time until 2002 when he relocated to Pine River, MN. While in Pine River Duane enjoyed taking long walks on the many trails in the area. He could always be found at the local implement and machinery gatherings in Pine River. Duane also enjoyed golfing, spending time with his many nieces and nephews, and never turned down an opportunity to go out to eat. Duane was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Duane is survived by his mother, Cordelia Prokott of Coon Rapids, MN; sisters, Mary (Steve) Lauinger of Shoreview, MN, Jeanette (Ray) Schelonka of Moundsview, MN, Diona (Richard) Wochnick of Ramsey, MN, and Leonette (Dave) Westland of Lino Lakes, MN; brothers, Aloysius (Nancy) Prokott of Coon Rapids, MN, James (Joan) Prokott of Maple Grove, MN, Donald (Sharon) Prokott of Coon Rapids, MN, Richard (Barb) Prokott of Albertville, MN, and David (Mary Kay) Prokott of Brooklyn Park, MN; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles; godparent, Martha Kujawa of St. Louis Park, MN. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Prokott and grandparents.
