Eunice was born June 21, 1922 in Santiago, Minnesota to the late Gunder and Gertrude (Oslin) Ness. She grew up near Princeton, MN and graduated from Princeton High School. She then earned a teaching certificate and taught in a rural country school. Eunice was united in marriage to First Lt. Joseph H. Hoehn on June 20, 1943 at Fort Smith, AR. After Joseph was discharged from the US Army in 1945, the couple returned to Princeton, MN, living there for three years. They also resided in Foley, MN, and Monticello, MN and since 1953, have lived in Little Falls, MN. While raising her family, Eunice was a teachers aide for special education at Lincoln Elementary School in Little Falls. She retired in 1984 from Lincoln School. The couple enjoyed their retirement years together by traveling and spending winters in Texas. Eunice enjoyed gardening around her home on the Mississippi river, planting and caring for many varieties of flowers, especially peonies and iris’s. She also enjoyed drawing and painting in her quiet moments. Eunice was always very active in the church she attended. While in Monticello, MN she was a Sunday School teacher and Sunday School Superintendent. She also served as President of the ladies for the MN Baptist Association. More recently as a member of the Little Falls Alliance Church, she served as a church hostess, taught Sunday School, served as a Deaconess and was President of the Women’s Missionary Prayer Fellowship. In every area of her life, Eunice lived the life of Christ...love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control, Gal. 5:22. Her faith in the Lord sustained her throughout life. Eunice described her life in one word “Blessed”. Eunice G. Hoehn is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Joseph H.
