Mass of Christian Burial for Helen Lukens will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, June 24 at St. Otto’s Chapel in Little Falls, with Father Skaria Johnus Cherunilath officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Little Falls. Visitation will be from 10:30 to 11 AM Thursday at St. Otto’s Chapel. Arrangements are with Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls. Helen G. Scepaniak was born on September 30, 1915 in Swanville Township, MN to the late Martin and Mary Ann (Gorenscuska) Scepaniak. She grew up on the family farm and attended Country School #52. Helen was united in marriage to James Lukens on May 12, 1956 in Clark County, NV. Together they made their home in Phoenix, AZ. Helen retired from the Motorola Company in Arizona. She enjoyed fishing, sewing, and gardening. After James’ death in 1996, Helen moved back to Little Falls in 1997. Helen is survived by eight nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James; brothers, Martin, Carl, and Frank Scepaniak; sisters, Anna Hennesey, Victoria Boesel, Rose Thede, Frances Dyrland, Marie Kelly, and Harriet Lakin.
