Name: Dorothy Zilka Date: January 13th, 1923 - July 14th, 2010 Obituary: Dorothy was born on January 13, 1923 to the late Joseph and Victoria (Warchel) Fafara at home near Flensburg, MN. She attended 8 years of Country School in District #38. After her graduation Dorothy began working at Munsingwear in Little Falls, MN. She was united in marriage to Stanley “Larry” Zilka on October 24, 1945 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Flensburg, MN. Dorothy was an active member of the Rosary Sodality group in Flensburg for many years. Dorothy farmed for 40 years in Culdrum Township along side of her husband Larry and her children. She loved feeding and caring for her young calves, as well as caring for her garden and growing beautiful flowers. Dorothy also enjoyed spending time with he grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was known to be a wonderful cook and enjoyed taking trips to the Casino. In September of 1985 Dorothy and Larry moved to Little Falls where she resided until her death. Dorothy was an active and long time member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Flensburg, MN. She was greatly loved and will be dearly missed. Dorothy is survived by sons, Patrick (Elaine) Zilka of Randall, MN and Gilbert Zilka of Little Falls, MN; daughter, Patricia “Patti” (Daniel) Hartwig of Swanville, MN and Rita Zilka of Little Falls, MN; grandchildren, Jacquelyn Kirckof, Nicole Garlock, Sharleen Donabauer, Jeffrey Zilka, Renae Wiese, Angela Tanata, Heather Hartwig, Aaron Hartwig, and Ashlee Hartwig; great-grandchildren, Shea & Kaiden Garlock, Maddalen & Hannah Donabauer, Hunter Zilka, and Avery Wiese; sister, Lorraine (Tony) Rutz of Randall, MN. Dorothy was preceded in death by parents, Joseph and Victoria (Warchel) Fafara; husband, Stanley “Larry” Zilka; infant daughter, Jacquelyn Zilka; sisters, Minnie Zilka, Frances Rutz, and Bernice Fafara; brothers, Matthew, Walter, Ted, Julian, Martin, and Richard Fafara.
