Name: Florence Mrozik Date: April 12th, 1917 - July 29th, 2010 Obituary: Florence Vertin was born on April 12, 1917 in Little Falls, MN to the late John & Agnes Vertin. She grew up in Little Falls, MN and attended St. Aloysius Parochial School and St. Francis High School in Little Falls, MN. Florence graduated in 1935 and went on to attend post graduate schooling for typing and shorthand. She was united in marriage to Stanley I. Mrozik on August 17, 1946 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Little Falls, MN. Florence worked as an office manager and caretaker at Key Row apartments for several years and later went to work for the Highway Department in Brainerd, MN. She also worked as a secretary at Crestliner Boat Co., Welfare Office in Little Falls and Camp Ripley during the war years. Florence was also employed at the Little Falls Hatchery, St. Gabriel’s Hospital and managed the Little Falls VFW. She also worked part-time tending bar at the Little Falls VFW and Legion Clubs in Little Falls, MN. One thing Florence was very proud of was she assisted with the research and printing of the book Sister Asumpta of St. Francis. She also enjoyed going bowling, playing bingo, watching sports and playing cards, especially cribbage. Florence was a member of the Little Falls Legion Auxiliary Post #46 and Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Florence is survived by daughters, Terry Rasmussen of Little Falls, MN, Catherine (Victor) Borash of Pillager, MN, and Mary (Gary) Eddy of Alexandria, MN; sister, Margaret Smith of Robbinsdale, MN; 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Florence was preceded in death by husband, Stanley Mrozik on May 23, 1997; parents; brothers, Marcus, Mathias, & John Vertin; sisters, Bernadine Raymond, Rose Vertin, and Agnes Girtz.
